Dreamlock
Dreamlock is an iPhone app that bills itself as a private, Face-ID-locked vault for dreams. The core loop is built around the moment of waking: the user taps a lock-screen control in the middle of the night, mumbles fragments of a dissolving dream aloud ("snake... grandmother's kitchen... water rising"), and goes back to sleep. Speech recognition and understanding happen on the device, so the raw audio recording never leaves the phone. By morning the fragments are turned into a "dream card" — a retelling of the story, a generated painting, extracted symbols and people, and interpretations read three ways: tradition, psychology, and a reflective question. Over time the app builds a personal symbol index that tracks how often a given symbol appears in the user's own nights and alongside what, and it can answer natural-language questions such as "When did I last dream about my father?" from the user's own cards. Privacy is presented as the product's architecture rather than a setting. There is no account, email, or password; the vault opens with Face ID, hides itself in the app switcher, and dream text is described as processed only long enough to write the card and never stored on the company's servers, used for ads, or used for training. Optional sync uses the user's own iCloud rather than company infrastructure. The app is free to start with unlimited dream capture, three painted cards per week, and ten questions. A paid Dreamlock Plus tier ($4.99/month or $39.99/year with a 7-day trial on annual) adds interpretation and painting for every dream, the personal symbol index and patterns, unlimited questions, a monthly dream report, and iCloud sync. Dreamlock is available for iPhone through the App Store, with a public dream-symbol dictionary and guides on the web.

Problem solved
Dreams typically evaporate within minutes of waking, and most journaling tools require the user to wake up fully, type coherent text, and hand their most private material to a cloud account. Dreamlock lets a half-asleep user capture a dream by voice in seconds, converts the fragments into a structured, illustrated record, and keeps the recording and interpretation private behind Face ID with no account or server-side storage.
